Symptom

Error message "Interval / does not exist for object BU_PARTNER Diagnosis" is displayed when creating a Business Partner using specific Groupings.

Environment

S/4 HANA Public Cloud Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Manage Business Partner Master Data" application.
  2. Create a new entry (Organization).
  3. Enter the following details :
    Grouping: xxx (External alpha-numeric for Company
    Name 1: XXXX
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Enter “xxxxx” in the Organization Title field & perform the check.
    Observe the error message: "Interval / does not exist for object BU_PARTNER Diagnosis" (Message no. NR751).

Cause

  • Customizing is missing in the S4 HANA Cloud environment.
  • Number ranges are not assigned to the specific Groupings in the SSCUI configuration.

Resolution

  1. Open the application "Manage Your Solution" or "Implementation Activities".
  2. Navigate to SSCUI 102296 - Define Number Ranges.
  3. Create the missing number range interval as required.
  4. Navigate to SSCUI 102241 - Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges.
  5. Assign the newly created number range interval to the specific Grouping causing the issue.
  6. Save the changes and verify the resolution by repeating the steps to reproduce the issue.
