Symptom
Error message "Interval / does not exist for object BU_PARTNER Diagnosis" is displayed when creating a Business Partner using specific Groupings.
Environment
S/4 HANA Public Cloud Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the "Manage Business Partner Master Data" application.
- Create a new entry (Organization).
- Enter the following details :
Grouping: xxx (External alpha-numeric for Company
Name 1: XXXX - Click the OK button.
- Enter “xxxxx” in the Organization Title field & perform the check.
Observe the error message: "Interval / does not exist for object BU_PARTNER Diagnosis" (Message no. NR751).
Cause
- Customizing is missing in the S4 HANA Cloud environment.
- Number ranges are not assigned to the specific Groupings in the SSCUI configuration.
Resolution
- Open the application "Manage Your Solution" or "Implementation Activities".
- Navigate to SSCUI 102296 - Define Number Ranges.
- Create the missing number range interval as required.
- Navigate to SSCUI 102241 - Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges.
- Assign the newly created number range interval to the specific Grouping causing the issue.
- Save the changes and verify the resolution by repeating the steps to reproduce the issue.
