Symptom
The error “Interval / does not exist for object BU_PARTNER Diagnosis” occurs when creating a Business Partner or Worker in the Manage Business Partner Master Data or Manage Workforce app
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the 'Manage Business Partner Master Data' application.
- Create a new entry (Organization).
- Select a Grouping with external alphanumeric number assignment.
- Enter the required Organization Name.
- Click the OK button.
- Perform the Check action.
- Observe the error message: “Interval / does not exist for object BU_PARTNER Diagnosis” (Message no. NR751).
Or
- Open the app 'Manage Workforce' application.
- Create a New Worker using the 'Create' button.
- Fill in all the mandatory details.
- Try to save it by clicking on the button 'Create' you observe the error.

Cause
Number ranges are not assigned to the specific Groupings in the SSCUI/ Configuration Activities configuration.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, create the missing Number Range in the specific SSCUI, or use any existing number range present in the system. To create the new number range, follow the below steps:
- Open the application "Manage Your Solution" or "Implementation Activities".
- Navigate to SSCUI 102296 - Define Number Ranges.
- Create the missing number range interval as required.
- Navigate to SSCUI 102241 - Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges.
- Assign the newly created number range interval to the specific Grouping causing the issue.
- Save the changes and verify the resolution by repeating the steps to reproduce the issue.
