3668622 - Designer x Scheduled job execution saving the logs on different directories when using TNS - SAP Data Services

Symptom

When manually executing jobs from Designer client, the log files (Error, Trace and Monitor) are storage on:

  • WINDOWS: %DS_COMMON_DIR%\log\<JOB_SERVER>\<TNS_NAME>__<USER>
  • LINUX: $LINK_DIR/log/<JOB_SERVER>/<TNS_NAME>__<USER>

When it is scheduled to run from Data Services Management Console, it storages on:

  • WINDOWS: %DS_COMMON_DIR%\log\<JOB_SERVER>\<HOST>_<SID/SERVICE_NAME>_<USER>.
  • LINUX: $LINK_DIR/log/<JOB_SERVER>/<HOST>_<SID/SERVICE_NAME>_<USER>.
