3668657 - How to enable external VPN users to connect to BI Client Tools after configuring NGINX Stream reverse proxy module.

Symptom

  • Users from external network (VPN) are unable to connect to SAP BI client tools (UDT/IDT) after configuring the Nginx Stream module to manage TCP connections - acting as Reverse Proxy.
  • Error message displayed: [repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed (Transport error: Communication failure.(FWM 00001) (hr=#0x80042a01).
  • Firewall Ports required by BI:  6400, 6401, 6402 and 6403 are already opened bi-directionally in the Proxy Configuration;
