Symptom

  • Custom workflow notification cannot fetch the newly changed company for global assignment but shows the old company field.

Environment

SAP Successfactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Add a global assignment for one user with an effective date of 1/1/2025 and an end date of 1/1/2026.
  2. Change company A to company B with an effective date of 9/1/2025.
  3. Trigger workflow for field planned end date change.
  4. Observe that the placeholder for global assignment-previous company shows company A instead of B.

Cause

Resolution

This is working as expected.

Global Assignment Company can not be modified. In case, GA company needs to be modified then end the current GA with previous company and start a new GA with new date and company.
