3668750 - Error "For JobInfo fields payScaleArea and payScaleType, please either add the picklists or remove them for both fields" during Hire and Editing Job Information UI - 2H 2025

Symptom

In "Add new employee" Page and "Job information" UI (Only in Latest People Profile), while editing/submitting, the Error "For JobInfo fields payScaleArea and payScaleType, please either add the picklists or remove them for both fields" is occurring.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

The error is occurring in 2 scenarios:

  • While submitting the new hire through "Add New Employee" Page.
  • In Latest People Profile -> While Editing the Job information.

Cause

The possible cause of the issue is "Using Picklist for one of these fields".

Resolution

  • We recommend migrate these objects to generic objects.
    • A self-service job Admin Center -> Scheduled Job Manager -> "Initialize migration of picklist fields PayScale area and type to mdf objects" is available for this migration.
