3669223 - Unexpected values when accessing via remote tables BWB data on Datasphere

Symptom

Despite having some data on BWB system data when used or replicated to Datasphere appears unexpectedly. Null or wrong values may appear.

Environment

SAP Datasphere, BW Bridge

Reproducing the Issue

Import BWB tabled data to datasphere.

Cause

This issue can be related to InfoObject containing conversion exit.

  1. Access BWB Cockpit's Manage InfoObjects and expand header for involved object.
  2. Verify if conversion exit is used in DDIC properties and you may see the Internal vs External format display.
  3. Check that the values in Internal Format are the ones being replicated to Datasphere.

Resolution

This is the system working as intended. Datasphere doesn't support the conversion exit to transfer data on External Format on this scenario.
