3669334 - Changing V1499 Message from Warning to Error in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When creating multiple returns with reference to an invoice, if the returned quantity exceeds the invoiced quantity, the system only issues informational message V1499: "There are already returns for item &1: &2 &3". Need to change this warning to an error message.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Use "Create Sales Orders - VA01" app to create a return order of type CBAR.
  2. When the returned quantity has already exceeded the invoiced quantity, copy with reference to the billing document.
  3. The information message "There are already returns for item &1: &2 &3 (message no. V1499)" appears. 

Resolution

  • The message V1499 is designed as information. It is up to the end users to decide how to proceed when the warning message appears.
  • To address the need to convert a warning message to an error message with message V1499, submit this requirement as a feature request through the Customer Influence Portal under the session SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Sales.
