Symptom

SAC Planning model allows to delete data or upload data to locked data

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

Reproducing the Issue

1. Attempt to delete data from a locked model in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning.
2. Observe that the system allows the deletion despite the data being locked and the user lacking the "Data locked owner" property.

Cause

The user is assigned to a team that is assigned to a role which has the "Full Data Access" option enabled.

Resolution

This behavior is by design.

There are two kinds of roles which would ignore the data locking process.

  1. The Admin role
  2. Roles that have "Full Data Access" option enabled.
