Symptom

Dispatch operation option is unavailable in app Change Maintenance Order or Find Maintenance Orders for certain work centers.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access to the app Change Maintenance Order or Find Maintenance Orders.
  2. Attempt to dispatch operation for maintenance order.
  3. Observe that the dispatch operation option is unavailable.

Cause

The work center has been assigned in Resource Scheduling applications indicating maintenance order operation which assigned to the work center can only be dispatched through Resource Scheduling applications.

Resolution

Option 1:

Verify if any user is still assigned the work center to Resource Scheduling applications. The assignment data can be found in table RSH_D_USR_WC through app Customer Data Browser. For how to check data from table, refer to KBA 3315548 - Unable to view data in the application Customer Data Browser due to the error "You either do not have the required authorization or there is no data to be displayed" - SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Based on the assignment data, inform the user to remove the work center assignment from Resource Scheduling applications which mentioned in SAP Help Portal - Assigning Work Centers to Yourself.

Option 2:

Dispatch maintenance order operation in Manage Work Center Utilization app or Maintenance Scheduling Board app. See also help documentation - Dispatching Order Operations.
