Error message: "Request %00000000001: Release rejected" encountered while creating a maintenance request with emergency context using app Create Maintenance Request (F1511A) or Manage Maintenance Notifications (F5777).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to app Create Maintenance Request (F1511A) or Manage Maintenance Notifications (F5777).
2. Attempt to create a maintenance request with processing context "Emergency Work".
3. Observe the error message: "Request %00000000001: Release rejected".

The error is due to a missing cost center in the technical object. According to the SAP Help Documentation Reactive Maintenance: Emergency Work, the cost center (CTR) serves as a default cost receiver for account assignment. The cost center must be specified in the technical object to automatically generate the default settlement rule for the resulting emergency order. If the cost center is not provided, the system cannot create the emergency maintenance order.

1. Access the "Change Technical Object" app.
2. Navigate to the "Organization Data" tab.
3. Maintain the cost center for the technical object.
4. Retry creating the maintenance request with the emergency context.
