3669448 - SF Time Tracking: Limitation in the Number of Geofences

1) Is there any limitation in the number of geofences that can be associated with the time event types?
2) Is there any limitation in the number of geofences that can be assigned to employees?
3) Is there a maximum allowed number of zones within one geofences?
4) Is there a maximum allowed distance between the zones within one geofence?

1) Is there any limitation in the number of geofences that can be associated with the time event types?
Currently, the number of geofences that can be associated with the time event types in the SAP SuccessFactors Clock In Clock Out solution is limited to 200. If you create more than 200, then some of the geofences will not be available for selection when creating the Clock In Clock Out Groups.

At the moment, it is possible to assign 200 geofences at most to one time event type, because of the 200 limit in the dropdown list.
There is no additional limitation defined on how many geofences is allowed on time event type. 

In the drop down list for assigning geofences to time event types, 200 is the limitation because of the dropdown list.
And normally the first 200 created geofences will be selectable from the dropdown list.
However, there is a plan to overcome this dropdown limitation in 1H 2026.

2) Is there any limitation in the number of geofences that can be assigned to employees?
Also, the Number of geofences in the system is 200 which can be assigned to employees at the moment only for 2H 2025.

3) Is there a maximum allowed number of zones within one geofences?
There is no maximum allowed number of zones within one geofences. 
 
4) Is there a maximum allowed distance between the zones within one geofence?
There is no maximum allowed distance between the zones within one geofence. They can be as far away from each other as needed.
You only need to zoom the map to define them.
