3669803 - I receive a 'failed to parse the reply packet' error during an extraction of data from my SAP HANA database into Signavio Process Intelligence.

Symptom

I receive a 'failed to parse the reply packet' error during an extraction of data from my SAP source system into Signavio Process Intelligence.

Resolution

To see whether it's the actual SQL query that provides a non parsable response or if its an issue with Signavios infrastructure, please carry out the following:

  1. Run the SQL query that causes the error directly on your HANA database and note the results. This SQL query can be found in your On-premise extractor logs.

If it shows normal results, please try adding the 'Timeout' extra connection argument to your connection with a value of 2000 and start a fresh extraction. Steps to do so can be found here.

If an error is also thrown when querying the HANA database, or if the results are not UTF-8 compliant, you need to contact SAP Support for assistance with correcting your corrupted data. Please do so by raising a case via the SAP for Me platform: https://me.sap.com/home
