3670139 - NHA not created after Restart Onboarding - Onboarding

Symptom

  • Create new hire activities event entered exception message in BPE Monitor
  • Personal Note To Buddy is a required field/association in Object Buddy Task. 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Restart the onboarding process for the user.
  2. Observe NHA or PDC is not created
  3. Check BPE Monitor could see unfinished event entered exception message

Cause

  • The Buddy Task object requires a value for the "Personal Note To Buddy" field, which is set as mandatory. This prevents the creation of onboarding activities.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Configure Object Definition.
  2. Open the Buddy Task object.
  3. Click "Take Action" and select "Make Correction".
  4. Click "Details" on the PersonalNote field.
  5. Change the "Required" value to "No".
  6. Save the changes.
  7. Navigate to Manage Process Tasks.
  8. Filter using the job ID associated with the failed task.
  9. Select the result and restart the task.
