3670173 - Issue with "Enable the Latest Shell bar" causing story report actions to fail

Symptom

  • Enabling "Enable the latest Shell Bar" results in story-related actions such as Run or Edit failing to respond.
  • No error messages or error codes are displayed when the issue occurs.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable "Enable the latest Shell Bar" from the Company System and Logo Setting.
  2. Navigate to the report center.
  3. Select the Run or Edit action for any story report.
  4. Observe that no response occurs and no errors are displayed.

Cause

This issues occurs when enabling "Enable the latest Shell Bar" from Company System and Logo Setting. 

Resolution

By disabling the option, Story Reports will work as expected. 

Engineering team will fix this issue by patch which will be deployed at October 28th, 2025.
