3670407 - Fields missing for export of an object - Employee Central

Symptom

Export an object or download template does not include some of the fields.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Admin Center > Import and Export Data;
  2. Select "Export" or "Download Template;
  3. Select the object;
  4. Click "Export";
  5. Open the file;
  6. Some fields are missing;

Cause

There is a Default Screen for the object and the field has has a Value Type Resolver from another object.

Resolution

  1. Go to Configure Object Definitions;
  2. Object Definition > search the object;
  3. Default Screen has a Configuration UI set;
  4. Go to Manage Configuration UI;
  5. Search default screen value from step 3;
  6. Go to pencil next to the field missing in the files;
  7. Check for the Value Type Resolver;

In the example above, we used the object Position, which means that the Value Type Resolver in the field Custom Field 45 must be a field from positions. In this case, Cost Center could be used, not a field within the object Cost Center. The configuration should look like this:
