3670653 - Error "Items of type Custom Logic: XXX must not be edited in the tenant" - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

While accessing the "Custom Logic" app, the system shows one of the following errors:

  • "Items of type Custom Logic: BAdI must not be edited in this tenant."
  • "Items of type Custom Logic: Behavior Extension must not be edited in this tenant."

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Custom Logic" application.
  2. Error messages will display.

Cause

Using the wrong tenant for creating custom logic for development objects.

Resolution

Use the development tenant (080) when working with development objects such as:

  • BAdI Implementations
  • Behavior Extensions
