3670664 - Error "Maintain serial numbers for total quantity" (M7 175) occurs in Compare Stock with Inventory Management app

Symptom

When performing stock correction in the Compare Stock with Inventory Management app, the system displays the following error:
 "Maintain serial numbers for total quantity Message" (No. M7175)

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Compare Stock with Inventory Management app;
  2. Select the line needed for correction;
  3. Click post;
  4. M7175 Error is raised.

Cause

This error occurred when correcting the serial number inconsistency between EWM and IM.
The Compare Stock with Inventory Management app is designed to compare the stock quantity only, not for comparison of serial numbers, which results in the error.

Resolution

This issue needs be resolved on the backend. Raise a ticket under the component SCM-EWM-IF-ERP-2CL to correct the serial number inconsistency issue.
