3670776 - Error IS045 - field contains invalid characters when maintaining serial numbers

Symptom

  • Error message IS045 - Field contains invalid characters is displayed when maintaining a serial number for a material on a production order.
  • The system does not allow the use of special characters such as "#", "@", "$", "&" and others in serial numbers.
  • Only Alphanumeric characters (A-Z and 0-9) are allowed as well as '/' and '-'. All others are forbidden.
