3670799 - Error "Delete Item YY1_mdm.md.businesspartner.manage of type UI Flexibility: Views and Changes" occurs when checking/exporting a software collection - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Error "Delete Item YY1_mdm.md.businesspartner.manage of type UI Flexibility: Views and Changes as it uses parts of item YY1_mdm.md.businesspartner.manage of type UI Flexibility: Views and Changes. " occurs when checking/exporting a software collection.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app "Export Software Collection".
2. Select the item like "Manage Business Partner - YY1_mdm.md.businesspartner.manage".
3. Perform a hotfix check.
4. Observe the following error messages:

• Delete Item YY1_mdm.md.businesspartner.manage of type UI Flexibility: Views and Changes as it uses parts of item YY1_mdm.md.businesspartner.manage of type UI Flexibility: Views and Changes. 
• Item check failed. Please report an incident on component BC-SRV-APS-EXT-SL.

The issue is caused by a coding error in the "Export Software Collection" app. The Key User Item Type "UI Flexibility: Variants and Changes" was split into two item types: "UI Flexibility: Views and Changes" and "UI Flexibility: App Variants" for technical reasons. The coding issue arises when the "Check" or "Export" function is executed, and only one of the two resulting items is part of the exported content.

1. Identify the items causing the issue:

• The item with the type "UI Flexibility: App Variants" is part of a collection YY1_AA. 
• The item with the type "UI Flexibility: Views and Changes" is part of another collection YY1_BB. 

2. Move one of the items to the same collection as the other. Either:

• Move the item of type "UI Flexibility: Views and Changes" from collection "YY1_BB" to collection "YY1_AA".
• Or move the item of type "UI Flexibility: App Variants" from collection "YY1_AA" to collection "YY1_BB".

3. Export both items together from the same collection.

4. Note that the issue is under investigation, and a correction will be implemented in the system.
