Symptom
- Synchronization of Financial Statement Version (FSV) from Q-System to P-System fails.
- Error message indicates that G/L accounts "do not exist in the period or are invalid".
- Affected G/L accounts are pre-delivered by SAP and have existed since the initial system setup.
- The accounts are not visible in the P-System despite their implementation status being set to "P".
- Attempts to trigger synchronization by modifying the accounts in Q-System were unsuccessful.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the App "Synchronize G/L Account Master Data".
- Attempt to synchronize Financial Statement Version from Q-System to P-System (2SL).
- Observe the error message indicating that G/L accounts "do not exist in the period or are invalid".
Cause
The affected G/L accounts are missing in the Productive system, despite their implementation status being set to "P".
Resolution
- Trigger a re-transport by updating the implementation status of the affected G/L accounts in Q-System from "P" to "I" and then back to "P".
- In case, there are many affected G/L accounts, use mass change functionality in “Manage G/L Account Master” Data for all G/L accounts and/or in “Manage Operating GL Account” for operating G/L accounts.
- Verify that the affected G/L accounts are transported to the P-System.
- Retry synchronization of the Financial Statement Version (FSV) from Q-System to P-System.
