3671167 - ABAP Dump CREATE_OBJECT_CLASS_NOT_FOUND When Delimiting Position in Organizational Management (PPOMW) Due to Missing External Relationship Class

Symptom

When attempting to delimit a position in the Organizational Management module (e.g., via transaction PPOMW), the system triggers an ABAP runtime dump with the following details:

  • Category: ABAP programming error
  • Runtime Errors: CREATE_OBJECT_CLASS_NOT_FOUND
  • Exception: CX_SY_CREATE_OBJECT_ERROR
  • Program: CL_HRBAS_EXT_RELAT_FACTORY====CP

The short text of the dump refers to a missing class, e.g., "CREATE OBJECT: Class 'CL_BBP_OM_RELAT_SIMU' not found."

This error occurs when the system checks for customizing entries for external relationships and finds a reference to a non-existent class during position delimitation.
