3671222 - Unable to delete audit policy in SAP HANA Tenant Database due to error "Change of non-local audit policy is prohibited on tenant"

Symptom

  • An audit policy created in the SAP HANA system database cannot be deleted from the tenant database.
  • In the HANA Cockpit, attempts to delete the audit policy from tenant database result in an error message: "The selected audit policies were created in the system database and cannot be deleted in the tenant database."
  • Attempting to delete the audit policy using SQL results in the error: "Could not execute 'DROP AUDIT POLICY <audit_plolicy_name>' SAP DBTech JDBC: [258]: insufficient privilege: Change of non-local audit policy is prohibited on tenant."
