When creating a renewal rule, the system displays error RETMPE208: "Number of years, months, or days at which renewal occurs is not entered."

The following automatic renewal types are available in configuration:

• One or More Repetitions (for example, extension of 3 years with a 6 month period for submitting rejection)
• Repetition of Last Rule (for example, the contract is extended repeatedly by 1 year, with a 6 month period for submitting rejection)
• Unlimited after This Point (after the contract end date or the acceptance of prior options and renewals, the contract changes over to an unlimited term, and notice can be given within the legally defined notice period at the end of the year)

The system requires a specific number of years, months, or days to be entered for the renewal term.

1. Maintain a specific number of years, months, or days to define the renewal term. This can be done either:
   1. In the configuration for the relevant renewal type (SSCUI 103843 - Renewal Rules).
   2. Manually on the contract itself, when the renewal rule is entered.
2. Choose an appropriate extension period based on business requirements, ranging from 1 day to 99 years or more.
3. Ensure the renewal rule is configured to either execute automatically or hold an option for exercising contract extension.
4. Save the renewal rule and verify that the error RETMPE208 no longer appears.
