3671361 - How to grant permission to access Uncategorized documents in Manage Documents

• Administrators are unable to set permissions for "Document Category = Uncategorized" in Manage Documents.
• Administrators are unable to set permissions only for "Document Category = Uncategorized" in Manage Documents.
• There is no "Uncategorized" category available in the dropdown options in Manage Document Categories Permissions settings.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Navigate to Manage Permission Roles.
2. Attempt to set permissions for "Manage Document Categories"
3. Select "Choose item" to enable the dropdown.
4. Observe that there is no "Uncategorized" category available in the dropdown options.

"Uncategorized" is not a document category like the other categories listed in Manage Documents > Document Categories. It is a collection of all documents that were not added to any pre-defined or custom category.

Access to uncategorized documents can only be granted by providing access to all categories.

SAP advises that only a "Super Admin" user with access to all categories should access uncategorized documents to avoid potential security risks, as this documents can come from different sources.
