3671536 - Tile/Dashboard Filter Unexpectedly Requires 'Analytics Tiles and Dashboards' Permission Post-2511

• Error is displayed when trying to filter a Dashboard in Report Center: The access validation is failed! Permission check failed
• Analytics Tile Filter is unresponsive in the Home Page

Symptom 1:

1. Go to Report Center
2. Run a dashboard
3. Attempt to apply a filter > Error is displayed: The access validation is failed! Permission check failed 

Symptom 2:

1. Go to Home Page
2. Click on View Tile Reports
3. Open a Tile
4. Click on the filter icon > It doesn't respond

This issue occurs because the validation checks added to the backend calls restrict non-admin users from viewing and modifying the filter options.

The patch fix will be deployed on November 4th, 2025, and the filter icon will become accessible to non-admin users again.

Workaround:

1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles
2. Edit the relevant permission role assigned to the affected user
3. Select “Manage Dashboards / Reports”
4. Enable “Analytics Tiles and Dashboards”
5. Save the changes

NOTE: This permission allows user to view all the Tiles and Dashboards created in the instance by any user.
