3671567 - Generic permission error when saving changes in job information history - Employee Central

• When attempting to save a change in an employee's "Job Information" history, the system displays the error message: "You do not have permission to edit the value."
• The changes are not saved despite the administrator having full permissions, including access to "All" employees and edit permissions on all fields involved.

Make sure you have 2 business rules: 1 setting visibility attribute to 'View', for example, and other setting a value for the field having attribute changed, then:

1. Replicate using rule trace: 2257064 - Employee Central - Business Rule Execution Log.
2. Navigate to the employee profile
3. Go to Employment Information - Job Information - History.
4. Make changes that are impacted by the business rules you configured above.

As per rule trace response, The issue was caused by business rules that were setting attribute and value for the same field during the same transaction. By analyzing the rule trace, it's possible to see something like below:

Where Job Title field is being changed to Visibility= View, but it's been set as a different value during the same transaction.

Disable/adjust the business rule setting the attribute visibility. And check if there are other rules doing the same via a Full Rule Trace.
