3671670 - "Max. Qty" does not apply during putaway in APP "Assign Fixed Storage Bins" in sap s/4hana cloud public edition

The maximum quantity setting in the "Assign Fixed Storage Bins" app does not apply during the putaway process.

It is possible to create and confirm warehouse task even the WT quantity is exceed the quantity from the max. Qty at APP "Assign Fixed Storage Bins".

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition

In the EWM standard design the entries in Assign Fixed Storage Bins (APP ID /SCWM/BINMAT) are planning values for the replenishment only.

It is not intended to use the maximum quantity from APP Assign Fixed Storage Bins during the putaway.

There is a check on the 'Check Max. Quantity' at Customizing "Maintain Storage Types" that can be activated in the customizing, but it relies on the maximum quantity value from the product master data in the storage type view at APP Manage Product Master Data. But it is only the max quantity at storage type level instead of storage bin level.

It is possible to set the max weight, max volume and capacity of the storage bin at APP Edit Storage Bin (APP ID /SCWM/LS02) to limit the putaway quantities at the  storage bin and active capacity check at Customizing "Maintain Storage Types"
