3672003 - Withholding Tax Return Run for India does Not Find Any Items

• Withholding Tax Return Run for India does not find any items.
• Error message: "No tax item exists for period dd.mm.yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Tax Management Work Center.
2. Access the Withholding Tax Return Runs subview.
3. Select the "All Tax Return Runs" option.
4. Search for Run ID: XYZ (XYZ represents the Run ID) and open the respective Application Log.
5. Navigate to the Results tab, where the following message is displayed: "No tax item exists for period dd.mm.yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy".

The issue occurred due to not following the sequence order in which the India Withholding Tax Return runs are executed.

There is a defined sequence of Tax Arrangement IDs that must be adhered to when creating and executing the withholding tax return runs for India.

Ensure the withholding tax return runs for India are executed in the following sequence:

• Withholding Challan
• Withholding 26Q or Withholding 27Q
• Withholding Vendor Certificate

Verify that the respective invoice documents are picked up correctly when the above sequence is followed.
