3672211 - Pay Component values not respecting RBP permissions during New Hire Data Review - Onboarding

Symptom

  • Pay Component values are visible for selection by the Hiring Manager during the Recurring Pay Component addition in the New Hire Data Review, even though the Hiring Manager does not have the required permissions under their Role-Based Permissions (RBP).
  • The permissions granted under RBP do not restrict the visibility of Pay Component values in the dropdown selection during the New Hire Data Review.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Perform the New Hire Data Review.
  2. Add a Recurring Pay Component.
  3. Observe that all Pay Component values are available for selection in the dropdown.
  4. Review the permissions granted under the Hiring Manager's Role-Based Permissions (RBP) and note that the displayed Pay Component values are not restricted as per the permissions.

Cause

The visibility of Pay Component values in the dropdown box during the New Hire Data Review is an expected behavior by system design.

Resolution

The system does not allow changes to assigned Pay Components once they have been used for any candidates, to prevent data inconsistencies.

Understand that the values in the dropdown box cannot be controlled by permissions.

Currently, there is no workaround available for this issue.
