3672238 - Error while creating or modifying records in effective dated portlets using latest edit UI - 2H 2025

When trying to create or modify record in effective dated portlets such as dependents, job information, contact information using the Latest Edit UI. The system displays an error message "You can’t continue editing or save your changes because you also have this record open for editing in another browser tab. Close this tab and continue your work in the other tab.”

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Enable Latest Edit UI in Configure Latest People Profile.
2. Navigate to the Employee Profile of a user.
3. Navigate to the portlet of job information/ contact information/ dependents.
4. Make changes to a record/ create new record.
5. Attempt to save.
6. System throws the error: "You can’t continue editing or save your changes because you also have this record open for editing in another browser tab. Close this tab and continue your work in the other tab."

The issue has been resolved by Product Engineering.
