3672267 - Effective Dating Cannot Be Modified for the Time Recording Profile Object

There is a requirement to modify the ''Effective Dating'' field of the ''Time Recording Profile'' object to prevent the need to create a new profile each time time-related information is updated. However, error ''Effective dating cannot be changed for TimeRecordingProfile.'' occurs when attempting to make the change. Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

1. Navigate to the configure object definitions.
2. Select object definition and then choose time recording profile.
3. Error ''Effective dating cannot be changed for TimeRecordingProfile.'' is shown when attempting to modify the effective dating field.
   

The Time Recording Profile object is currently not effective-dated. This functionality has been acknowledged by the engineering team but has not yet been developed.
