Symptom

  • According to "SAP IQ Installation and Update Guide" documents, "Uninstall SAP IQ" step is listed during preparing SAP IQ System.
  • Is it possible to upgrade SAP IQ 16.1 to SAP IQ 16.2 by installing SAP IQ 16.2 binary on the top of existing SAP IQ 16.1 binary ?
  • Can I upgrade SAP IQ from 16.1 to 16.2 without uninstalling SAP IQ 16.1 binary ?
