Symptom
The system does not automatically set the "To Be Hired" flag to "No" on a position when a candidate is hired with a future start date.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Hire a candidate for a position with a future start date in Manage Pending Hires
- Navigate to the Position Org Chart
- Observe that the "To Be Hired" flag remains set to "Yes" even though a hire has been processed for the position.
Cause
The "To Be Hired" setting within the system is designed to reflect the effective date of a hire, not the date the hire process was completed.
Resolution
In order to not incorrectly start any Job Requisition processes, you can:
- Manually update the "To Be Hired" flag by inserting a new record as of the current date.
- Review the position record for future changes.
- Use the Position Org Chart date picker to view future changes to the position.
