Symptom
You have created a business rule under the Rules for Hire/Rehire Processes scenario with the base object Employee Information. As an example, let's say that the rule is configured to evaluate both Personal Email and Business Email to raise messages if either is missing in Contact Information.
During the hire process, when only the Business Email is added and the Personal Email is missing, the system correctly raises the message for the missing Personal Email, but the message title displays "Business" instead.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Add New Employee;
- Fill in the required fields;
- In Contact Information, do not add any or at least one of the Email Types you have configured in the Business Rule;
- Proceed filling out all the required fields;
- Submit the hire.
- Observe the error message displayed;
- The system correctly raises the message for the missing Email Type, but the message title displays the existing one instead.

Expected behavior.
Resolution
The system is designed in such a way that it cannot assign a value to the "title" (such as business, personal, etc.) of the message displayed in the UI if the value does not exist. As a result, the title displayed will always correspond to the email entered in the Contact Information section.
