Symptom

Error message: "OData Library: An exception without message text was thrown" when taking the course.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Learning > Start the course
  2. Error message is displayed while taking the item.

Cause

This issue can occur for different reasons, such as :

  • The item/content was edited after it was assigned to the user 
  • The content is sending a logout command to the system.

Resolution

Re-assign the Affected item to a user who is getting the error when launching the content.

Once re-assigned the content can be launched without issues.
