Symptom
As per the 2H 2025 enhancement (ECT-251849) for Compensation Information in the Change Job and Compensation Info Manager Self-Service scenario as well as in the Compensation Information History, a filter has been added to the Events dropdown list so that managers and admins only have access to events with at least one event reason for which they have Edit permission.
However, the filter in the Events drop down is currently working only when there is at least one compensation record maintained for the user.
When no compensation data is maintained, the Events dropdown list displays other events even though the Manager/Admin does not have Edit permission for the event reasons linked to those events.
Environment

- Compensation Information
Reproducing the Issue
- Proxy as the Manager/Admin user
- Navigate to the Compensation Information portlet (with no existing data maintained) on an employee's profile page
- Click on the Edit (pencil) icon or Click on Actions - Change Job and Compensation Info, select Compensation Info and enter the effective date
- Open the Event dropdown
- Some events are displayed even though the user does not have edit permission to the Event reasons linked to these events
- For example, select "Salary Change" in the Event dropdown
- Event Reason dropdown shows "No Data"
Resolution
- This is planned to be enhanced in 1H 2026 release but not yet confirmed.
