3672837 - No suitable IGS release found for specific kernel release in file IGSCheck.xml

Symptom

During upgrading ABAP system via SUM, an error occurred in the phase "PREP_INPUT_KERNEL/SUBMOD_KERNEL_SCAN_TOOLCHK_INP/SUBMOD_KERNEL_SCAN_TOOLCHK_NONSERIAL/KERNEL_EXE".

The phase log file "KERNELINP.LOG" displayed the following error:

1EETQ399 Last generated error message is: No suitable IGS release found for kernel '<NNN_REL>' in file
1EETQ399X'<DIR_PUT>\control\IGSCheck.xml'.
