3673335 - Decimal Values Not Displayed in California WTPA Compliance Form (Rate of Pay / Overtime Rate of Pay Fields) - Onboarding

Symptom

When generating a Wage Theft Protection Act (WTPA) compliance form, the Rate of Pay or Overtime Rate of Pay fields do not display decimal values. Instead, the values appear rounded or truncated in the generated PDF.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

The behavior occurs when the business rule logic or field mapping configuration applied to WTPA fields does not pass decimal values to the PDF form.

In such cases, the output displayed in the form reflects exactly what is being passed from the configured data source or rule logic.

Resolution

System would be functioning as designed: The values shown in the WTPA form are based on the data provided through FieldMetaOverrideConfiguration and any associated business rules.

  • For WTPA compliance forms, customers have flexibility to customize field mappings using the FieldMetaOverride option.

  • This configuration allows defining which form fields should be mapped to which data source.

  • If a direct field is not available for mapping, a custom approach can be implemented to achieve the desired mapping.

  • Defining a business rule is optional. However, if a business rule is used, its logic and formatting determine the output displayed in the generated PDF.

  • The decimal value truncation typically results from the formatting or locale handling defined in the business rule logic.

If the PDF correctly reflects values that are entered manually in the Process Data Collection (PDC) step, this confirms that the form rendering is working as expected, and the issue lies in the data being passed to the form rather than in the form itself.

Recommendation

  • Customers should review their internal business rule logic to ensure that decimal values are passed correctly to the mapped field.

  • Since the creation or modification of business rules represents a configuration and implementation activity, it falls outside the scope of SAP Product Support.

  • For assistance with designing or adjusting custom rule logic, customers are advised to engage their implementation partner or reach out through Partner Support channels.
