Symptom

  • When executing the 'India Withholding Tax (TDS/TCS) Status Report – India' app, the withholding tax amount for debit entries is displayed as credit, and the credit amount is displayed as debit for TDS documents.
  • When trying to execute the 'India Withholding Tax (TDS/TCS) Status Report - India' app for TDS document Indicator is showing wrong in 'Debit/Credit' column.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open 'India Withholding Tax (TDS/TCS) Status Report - India' app.
  2. Enter the mandatory fields and click on 'Execute'.

Cause

Posting of advance payments through the 'Post Outgoing Payments' app is not supported for India localization.

Resolution

The advance payment documents can be created using the 'Manage Automatic Payments' app.

Note: For Indian local requirements, advance payment handling is only supported via the automatic payment's functionality. Advance payment postings through the 'Post Outgoing Payments' app are not compliant with localized processes.
