3673363 - CAP nodejs cds import an OpenAPI fails with error - Illegal circular reference

Symptom

  • Following the documentation Importing API Definition and executing the command "cds import <input_file> --as cds " causes error message:
    [ERROR] <recompile>.csn:1595: Illegal circular reference to “...(information specific to the API)"

  • Import may work in some of the API but during testing cds watch the error message: 
    [ERROR] srv/external/<API name>.cds:869:19-56: Illegal circular reference to "...(information specific to the API)"
