3673415 - error "tax number category IN3 already contains an entry" encountered in fiori app "maintain business partner" under supplier role

• Error message: "Tax number category IN3 already contains an entry" (Message no. FKBPTAX012).
• System does not allow maintaining multiple GSTIN numbers for the same vendor in the Fiori app "Maintain Business Partner" under the Supplier role.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Fiori app "Maintain Business Partner".
2. Select the Supplier BP role.
3. Navigate to the Identification Tab.
4. Attempt to maintain multiple GSTIN numbers under the Tax Number category.
5. Observe the error message: "Tax number category IN3 already contains an entry".

• It is a standard design that multiple instances of the same tax category, such as IN3, cannot be maintained for one Business Partner.
• The tax category maintained in the Business Partner is saved to table DFKKBPTAXNUM, where the key fields are CLIENT, PARTNER, and TAXTYPE.
• Attempting to save multiple instances of the same tax category for the same Business Partner results in a database duplicate error.

1. Delete the existing entry or change the tax number category of the entry to resolve the error.
2. As a workaround, create custom tax categories to maintain the desired tax numbers.
