3673421 - Sales Quote Item Data Source Displays Incorrect Opportunity Information

• ‘Sales Quote Item’ data source error occurs when filtering for sales quote ID and including the fields Preceding Opportunity, Preceding Opportunity (Header), and Preceding Opportunity ID in the view.
• The Preceding Opportunity (Header) field displays the first created opportunity in the chain instead of the directly linked opportunity, causing a mismatch in displayed values. 

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Navigate to Design Data Source Work Center View.
2. Open the report XYZ (where XYZ refers to Report name).
3. Apply filters using the Sales Quote ID, Preceding Opportunity ID, Preceding Opportunity Header, and Preceding Opportunity fields.
4. Verify that the Preceding Opportunity (Header) field displays a different opportunity compared to the other fields.

The behavior is expected due to the design of the Sales Quote Item data source.

1. Understand that the Sales Quote Item data source retrieves preceding documents based on the complete document flow, rather than direct links.
2. Note that the Preceding Opportunity (Header) field reflects the first created opportunity in the chain unless the quote was directly created from the first opportunity.
