3673663 - Posting date of an already posted accounting document can not be edited

Symptom

When accessing transaction FB03 in change mode or FB02 transaction and clicking on "Display Document Header (F5)" , the posting date (BKPF-BUDAT) is greyed out and it is not possible to edit. The same is true for the document date.
