3673895 - Request a CDS view can be used to check reservation item details & status

Symptom

 Cmpl.Status field from CDS view:I_ResvnCompletionStatus is not giving any values for a system reservation status.

Environment

S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the CDS view "I_ResvnCompletionStatus".
  2. Observe that this CDS view can not be used in Custom CDS view to check the reservation item status of a specific reservation. 

Cause

The CDS view "I_ResvnCompletionStatus" is designed to filter reservation documents by their completion status ("C" for completed and "N" for not completed). However, this data source is used for the "Manage Manual Reservations" application, it is not released for external programmatic access.

Resolution

  1. Use the CDS view "I_ReservationDocumentItem" for reservation item detail information.
  2. Filter reservation items using the field "Final Issue" (RESERVATIONITEMISFINALLYISSUED). When the value is "X", it indicates that the reservation item is Finish Issued/completed.
