Resolution

Q: Why is there an SF Mobile IAS app in their IAS?

A: This is to prepare for SuccessFactors Mobile OIDC Authentication for SF Mobile Joule if customer opts for Mobile Joule Activation in future and future new features that depend on SF Mobile OIDC Authentication.

Q: When did this become available? Is it now available for all new BizX tenants? Since when was it available? What's the plan for existing SF tenants?

[Update] For existing IAS-enabled tenants, the Operations team have  rerun the Mobile OIDC App Migration for all existing Production, Preview, and Sales SF environments integrated with IAS, most of the environments  have been successfully migrated to Mobile OIDC Authentication at  June  26, 2026. 

Note: If in your IAS tenant, you still cannot see SFSF Mobile Service Application added automatically, and you would like to use SF Mobile Joule, kindly raise a customer case to LOD-SF-PLT-MOB for further investigation.

A: For existing IAS-enabled tenants, Operation team has run Mobile OIDC App Migration for all existing Production, Preview and Sales SF Environments that integrated with IAS on October 27, 2025.

In the meanwhile, it has been supported in SF IAS greenfield process, SFSF Mobile Service Application will be auto-added automatically for any new customer who provisioned BizX with IAS.

 

Q: What are the expectations for customers with this SF Mobile App? Are any actions needed from them?

A: There has no impact and no action needed from customers side, until customer start enabling new Mobile features that depend on OIDC, i.e Activate SF Mobile Joule:  3583836 - [SF Mobile App] Joule in SAP SuccessFactors Mobile: Activation Steps & Known Issues - SAP for Me 

Q: If customer chooses to re-map the SF to a new Identity Authentication Service tenant, what will happen?

A: If in the future customer choose to migrate the SF tenant from e.g IAS-X to IAS-Y via Change IAS from SF Upgrade Center, then when run Activate IAS from SF Upgrade Center to activate IAS-Y, the SFSF Mobile Service Application will be automatically added under the SuccessFactors Application in the new IAS-Y tenant.
