3674179 - Reservation Number and Item number of reservation in CDS view I_MaterialDocumentItem_2

Symptom

The components of a subcontracting purchase order will be updated in reservation CDS view I_ReservationDocumentHeader and I_ReservationDocumentItem.

But Reservation number and Reservation Item number are not updated in CDS view I_MaterialDocumentItem_2 for MvT 541/543.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create Sub-Contracting PO with BOM maintained
  2. Post MvT 541 to transfer component stock to Vendor Stock ‘O’
  3. Post GR wrt PO, along with subcomponent consumption (543 movement type)
  4. Check CDS view I_MaterialDocumentItem_2 for Material Documents posted, field RESERVATION and RESERVATIONITEM are empty.

Cause

This is standard system behavior.

Resolution

Bill of material component details maintained in PO will be updated in the CDS view I_ReservationDocumentItem with Requirement Type BB. 

This is not updated in CDS view I_ReservationDocumentHeader and is not a real reservation but just a requirement list. 

Therefore, fields RESERVATION and RESERVATIONITEM will not be updated against the MvT 541/543.
