Symptom

  • High high SSQLCACHE_SPIN spin lock contention is reported
  • sp_configure  "max cached stmt size" is set to 16384
  • sp_configure " numeric autoparam sharing" is set to 1
  • dbcc prsqlcache shows two heaviest density hashkeys are using the same spinlock, slot 3 and competing for the same spinlock
