• In the 2H2025 system version, preview systems, it has been observed that the "IlxTrainingOverdue" notification template includes a variety of tokens that are different from those found in the previous one (1H2505): <STUD_FIRST_NAME/>, <STUD_LAST_NAME/>, <SUPERVISOR_FIRST_NAME/>, and <SUPERVISOR_LAST_NAME/>.
  
  
• The "IlxTrainingOverdue" notification template has been customized before the or in the 2H2025 preview system version and names are not properly displayed in emails.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

First symptom:

1. Learning Administration > System Administration > Manage Email >
2. Email Notification Templates > Search and access the "IlxTrainingOverdue" template >
3. "Messages" tab > "Tokens", "View Default" or "Launch Editor" > "Tokens".

Our Learning Engineering team has finalized their work on the situation, and the fix is scheduled to be delivered with 2511 patch 4. Additional details are available in the following links: Product Release & Road Map Information | SAP SuccessFactors - Patch Details.

To avoid this situation, please do not change the “IlxTrainingOverdue” notification template in 2H2025 preview until patch 4 is released.

With the fix delivery through 2511 patch 4:

• These tokens will be removed from the standard "IlxTrainingOverdue" notification: <STUD_FIRST_NAME/>, <STUD_LAST_NAME/>, <SUPERVISOR_FIRST_NAME/>, and <SUPERVISOR_LAST_NAME/>.
  
  
• These tokens will be added to the standard "IlxTrainingOverdue" notification: <STUD_NAME/>, and <SUPERVISOR_NAME/>.
  
  
• This situation will not occur in 2H2025 prod. systems.
  
  
• In 2H2025 preview environments, the patch will correct: Standard (non-customized) "IlxTrainingOverdue" template & "IlxTrainingOverdue" template that was customized before the 2H2025 preview upgrade.
  
  
• For the "IlxTrainingOverdue" template that was customized after the 2H2025 preview upgrade, it will require manual Learning Administrator actions. Once 2511 patch 4 is delivered in preview:
  
  
  • In the “IlxTrainingOverdue” notification template ("Messages" tab), "BODY" box, replace <STUD_FIRST_NAME/>, and <STUD_LAST_NAME/> with <STUD_NAME/> & replace <SUPERVISOR_FIRST_NAME/>, and <SUPERVISOR_LAST_NAME/> with <SUPERVISOR_NAME/>.
    
    
  • In the “IlxTrainingOverdue” notification template ("Messages" tab), if “Use Editor Content When Sending Email Notification” is checked/enabled, click “Launch Editor” > In the “Body” box, check if the “Subordinate display name to show in email header” and “Supervisor display name to show in email footer” tokens are part of it > If not, add them by selecting these tokens from the “Token” box > Repeat these steps for all locales where these tokens are not part of the “Body” box.
    
    
  • Still via the “Launch Editor” option, if any token found in the “Body” box does not exist in the “Token” box, it should be removed from the “Body” box.
