3674610 - Issue with setting up connection to a bank using standard Electronic Payment Integration configuration (EPIC) in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The EPIC configuration has been completed, but the bank interface is not functioning as expected, specifically regarding the input of the bank password. After carrying out connection checking on the SAP_COM_0554, error occurs "Direct connect to XXX failed: NIEHOST_UNKNOWN(-2)". 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Complete the EPIC configuration in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system.
2. Attempt to establish a connection with the bank using the standard EPIC.
3. Observe that the bank interface does not function as expected, specifically when inputting the bank password.
4. Click on "Check Connection" in SAP_COM_0554, then observe the error message.

The URL, host or authentication information filled in the EPIC configuration(SAP_COM_0554) is not correct.

This integration scenario provides the connectivity between Electronic Payment Integration (China) and the communication clients of the third party.

Please note that in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, currently, only Basic Authentication and Authentication with Certificate are supported. This certification is from a third-party system, not a direct certification with the bank.

The interfaces of different outbound services are distinguished by path filed, while their Service URLs are the same. If the Service URL need be modified, please navigate to "Common Date -> General -> Host" and change the value.

This is the overall process for solving this problem.

1. Verify the URL, host, authentication information configured in SAP_COM_0554 for accuracy.
2. Once the connection is confirmed to be working properly, reconfigure the EPIC settings in the SAP system.
3. Perform testing to ensure successful communication between the SAP system and the third party interface.
