3674613 - Screen Reader Does Not Announce Current Step in Performance Form Route Map

When navigating through the route map of a performance form using a screen reader, the current step is announced as Step # assessment instead of Current Step # assessment. For example with the below picture, the form is currently in Step 2, but the screen reader does not announce this information:
